Transponder keys have to be programmed properly or they will not work and for your peace of mind, we deactivate all previous keys & remotes from the vehicle’s memory using our on-board diagnostic equipment.

This means that any keys not present at the time of programming, will not start the vehicle.

For some vehicle’s, we will need the ‘security code’ & ‘key number’ of the vehicle.

This is normally supplied with the vehicle (on a credit card sized card) but if you don’t have this, no worries as we can supply it (most makes & models) please ask for a price (starting at £25 plus VAT).

This saves you the inconvenience of taking all your log book information to the main dealer.

Do You Need Your Existing Key Reprogrammed?

There are occasions when you may need your existing key re-programmed to get into your vehicle. Here are some examples:

• When changing the battery on a remote fob, sometimes the remote may need re-synching to the vehicle.

• The transponder chip may fail due to wear (as with all electronic components). We can read the chip to see if its still working, and based on our findings, we can either replace or reprogram the transponder chip.
